Hi there! I’m Selena (or Selly) and I’m passionate about enhancing holistic well-being through an integrative, culturally sensitive, and person-centered lens. My approach is warm and collaborative, empowering you to feel in charge of your own unique path toward growth and healing.
I have extensive experience with mindfulness-based, somatic, and expressive arts techniques – such as using yoga, breathwork, progressive muscle relaxation, painting, creative writing, sculpting, acting, dance, and music to facilitate the therapeutic process.
I also draw from other evidence-based methods, depending on your needs and preferences, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical-behavioral, acceptance and commitment therapy, emotionally focused therapy, family systems therapy, feminist therapy, systemic therapy, and eye-movement desensitization reprocessing (EMDR).
My focus for treatment includes, but is not limited to, anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, emotional disturbances, relational and attachment challenges, family conflicts, mood disorders, neurodevelopmental disorders (e.g., ASD, ADHD), gender/sexual/LGBTQ+ issues, women’s issues, and multicultural/systemic challenges.
I believe that, despite any external challenges, you already have the resilience and strength within you to be your most mindful, authentic, and fulfilled self. I’m just here to offer you reliable tools and unconditional support along the way!

Now that I’ve completed the necessary schooling and fieldwork to earn my Master’s degree in Clinical Counseling, I’ve been verified by the Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) to practice as an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor, under the supervision of a licensed mental health professional for 3,000 hours. Upon the completion of these supervised hours, I will eligible to sit for the California Law and Ethics Exam and the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination, as well as apply for licensure!
I am currently providing services under the supervision of Dr. Anna Selena Cho, Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist #99936 and Registered Art Therapist #17-259.

When you’ve been accepted as a client, you’ll be emailed an invitation to register for the client portal and complete your intake forms. You’ll also be emailed a secure link generated by a HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform (I currently use Zoom). This link is only meant to be accessed by you and your therapist at the scheduled day/time of sessions. Please ensure that you have a reliable computer and a private location in which you feel comfortable video chatting from.
